JERMANN - Red Angel 2006 75cl Bottle
Fragrant, with rich blueberries and fruits of the forest on the nose, this is an elegant, round and velvety Pinot Noir with loganberry-fruit character and cherryish undertones filling out the medium bodied, succulent palate. It is the ideal summer red which will partner charcuterie and cheeses, as well as grilled salmon and any pasta dish; potatoes filled with ricotta cheese and butter; sausages with radicchio and charcuterie or smoked ham with grilled porcini mushrooms for example Friuli, alongside Burgundy and New Zealand, is widely recognised as having one of the best suited climates for the production of high quality Pinot Noir. The grapes for Red Angel are all picked by hand and vinified in the traditional manner in small stainless steel tanks. Skin contact is key to producing top quality Pinot and Jermann has achieved an excellent balance between power and elegance. The wine is then aged in oak barriques before bottling and release. Grape: 90% Pinot Nero, 10% Merlot.
ERRAZURIZ - Merlot 2010 75cl Bottle
Deep ruby-red in colour with the beautiful highlights typical of a young wine. Its aromatic profile includes plum and raspberry notes mixed with subtle roasted pepper and balsamic touches. Light notes of toast and fresh fruit are evident on the palate, enhanced by this wine's firm, bright acidity. Medium body and smooth tannins make this wine easy to drink. 85% Merlot, 15% Carmenere. The grapes were hand picked in April and taken in bins to the winery, where they were destemmed, crushed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation was carried out at 24° - 28°C (75° - 82°F) with two pumpovers daily. The postfermentation maceration lasted 10 to 25 days, depending on the development of each individual lot. The wine was aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for approximately 8 months to round out the wine and add a sweet sensation to the palate. The final blend was then fined, stabilized, and lightly filtered before bottling.

2007 Reserve de la Comtesse, Pauillac
This is the second wine form Château Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac Second Growth, and one of Bordeaux's most respected châteaux. Réserve de la Comtesse is made from the cuves that do not make it into the grand vin, and accounts for anything from 25%-50% of the total production. The vineyards are planted with 45% Cabernet, 35% Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, but this isn’t necessarily the final composition of the Réserve. Mature tannins make this absolutely perfect for current drinking.

The eight hectares (19 acres) of vineyard are planted on slopes over-looking the Garonne, which has a major, steadying influence on their micro-climate. The estate was bought in 1994 by Marie-Dominique and Jean Watrin, who promptly set about restructuring the vineyards and rebuilding the winery. The wines are aged in oak (1/3rd new) for between 12 and 16 months. Although the vineyards are planted to 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2009 has around 85% Merlot

Larose de Gruaud symbolises the growing importance of Chateau Gruaud Larose's second wine, second classified growth of St Julien. It originates from the same vineyards as its elder and benefits from being hand-picked and from luxurious aging in French oak barrels.

Consistently fine production from this Fifth Growth Château way down in the south extremities of Pauillac, to the west of Pichon Baron. Haut-Batailley is where class and elegance meet, with '09s ripe tannins, seductive, warm cassis and baked earth tones, integrate beautifully with fine acidity and freshness. Fifty-odd acres of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (25%) and Cabernet Franc (10%), the juice is fermented in temperature controlled, stainless steel vats, before going into barrels (40% new oak) for up to 20 months. RAATS - MR De Compostella 2007 75cl Bottle
Deep, dark intense ruby colour. Red plum and black cherry fruit with a hint of cinnamon. Rich and muscular with mineral, black berry fruit and dark chocolate on the finish. Harmoniously composed of sufficient of each of the five main Bordeaux varieties to ensure none dominates. This wine shows a consistent, linear flavour profile. Each variety was harvested separately from specially chosen vineyards in the Stellenbosch area. The resultant cuvee is called De Compostella ('The Compilation of Stars') and the aim was to make each of the five components able to stand as varietal wines. The wines were tasted blind after one year in the barrel and the blend was then constructed in descending percentages, from the wine which rated highest to that in 5th place. Each variety spent twelve months in barrel as a single varietal before the wine was blended together. Thereafter the blended wine was matured for another twelve months giving a total of twenty-four months in barrel, a third of which was new French Oak, a further third in 2nd fill and a final third in 3rd fill French Oak barrels. De Compostella 2007 was bottled in April 2009 and should start showing well for drinking from 2012. This is a wine that can mature over ten years if stored correctly.
